A little about our next read: After losing her university job and facing yet another publishing rejection, Zelu, a disabled Nigerian American writer who has always felt like an outsider in her family, begins writing a story just for herself. The result is Rusted Robots, a sweeping science fiction epic set in a future where androids and AI inherit the ruins of human civilization.

As Zelu’s novel unexpectedly launches her into literary stardom, Death of the Author explores creativity, identity, and the power of storytelling through an inventive book-within-a-book structure that spans Chicago, Lagos, and beyond.
