INTRODUCING GOOD NEIGHBOR: BUEN VECINO
There is still so much good happening in the world. Sometimes, we just need someone to point it out.
At El Sueñito Brewing Company and Frelard Tamales, we believe that strong communities are built by everyday people doing good things. And we think those people deserve to be celebrated.
That's why we're introducing Good Neighbor: Buen Vecino, a new community storytelling series dedicated to highlighting the people who make Seattle and Bellingham better places to live.
IT'S NOT A CONTEST. IT'S A CELEBRATION
We're not looking for the most extraordinary person or the most dramatic story. We're looking for the everyday moments of kindness, generosity, and connection that often go unnoticed.
Maybe it's a neighbor who always shows up when someone needs help. A volunteer who quietly gives their time. A local organizer bringing people together. Or someone whose small act of kindness made a big difference in another person's day.
These are the stories we want to tell.
Because sometimes, the people making the biggest difference aren't looking for recognition at all.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It's simple. You nominate, we listen, and together we celebrate.
Each month, our team will review nominations from the community and select a story to feature.
We'll reach out to the nominated person privately, learn more about their experience, and make sure they're comfortable sharing their story. With their permission, we'll create a short video celebrating their impact and share it with our community.
As a small thank-you, each featured neighbor will also receive a gift card for participating and sharing their story.

Who makes the world around them a little brighter? Who goes out of their way to help others? Whose kindness deserves a little recognition?
