QUEER BOOK CLUB
WHERE STORIES & COMMUNITY BLEND
Welcome to Queer Book Club at El Sueñito Brewing Seattle and Frelard Tamales! All gender expressions and sexual orientations are welcomed. Join us from 7pm - 9pm every Wednesday to read and discuss books with queer themes or characters written by queer authors. Every month we select a different book, mixing up subject and genre for variety, and break it down into four parts for easy reading over the month.
The first hour of every QBC meeting is for reading at book club reserved tables and enjoying our special early happy hour prices on food and drinks. Our second hour is for discussing the section of the book we've read this week and socializing.
OUR CURRENT READ
This November we're reading The Incandescent by Emily Tesh—414 pages of sapphic dark academia magic! We'll tackle chapters 7 by 11/5, chapters 8-16 by 11/12, chapters 17-24 by 11/19, and chapters 25-30 by 11/26. Doctor Walden runs Chetwood School's magic department like a boss—teaching chaotic sixth formers, battling demonic incursions, and keeping six hundred students safe. She's great at her job. But when demons are masters of manipulation, the real threat might just be herself.

OUR NEXT READ
December gets deliciously rebellious with Be Gay, Do Crime edited by Molly Llewellyn and Kristel Buckley. Sixteen wild-eyed stories exploring why queer people turn to crime—for survival, protest, rescue, or righting wrongs big and small. It's a celebration and reckoning all at once. We're meeting Dec 3rd, 10th, and 17th only (because holidays), so grab your copy and join us for some beautifully chaotic discussions!

No! Come as often as you are able. Attendees who complete 24 club meetings within a year will receive a $30 gift card to Charlie's Queer Books.
